Chat is useful for exploring ideas. A project is what makes ongoing work recoverable.

A project defines the work boundary

Once a local project is open, source material, generated files, and tool activity have a clear home. Researchers can see what the agent is working with and return to the result later.

Authorization should follow the project

File reads, edits, and tool calls should happen within an explicit scope. Out-of-bounds requests should be rejected, and failures should remain visible.

Results should remain editable

Useful agent work does not end in a chat bubble. Project files can be inspected, revised, versioned, and handed to the next step.
